Ray has strong credentials in business administration, accounting, financial analysis, economics and real estate. He has worked in commercial banking and on Wall Street for firms such as Price Waterhouse, ING, Solomon Smith Barney and Wells Fargo. Ray also served as CFO for several dot-com companies, the first being MyUtility.com (now First Point Energy).
Later, while at Wells Fargo Bank’s Strategic Investment Unit he developed the bank’s internet strategy for commercial real estate lending, wrote the bank’s policy on valuation of private companies, screened business plans, performed valuations, advised entrepreneurs on how to produce financial forecasts for their businesses, helped set deal terms, and performed due diligence on potential investments.
Most recently Ray founded an investment advisory firm focused on real estate (www.BerkeleyInvestment.com). In this business, he analyzes deals, negotiates contracts, performs due diligence, evaluates financing options, manages securities, markets the firm’s services, and manages all aspects of accounting and compliance.
